Fender Musical Instruments Corporation has announced two signature models of the “Pro Series Signature Dave Davidson Warrior™ WR7” by electric guitar/bass brand Jackson®︎!
This guitar combines elements that are perfect for playing thrash/death metal, and is carefully designed down to the smallest detail, with the aim of achieving fast and technical play, and is a “Warrior” model full of metal spirit, inheriting the legacy of Jackson, who teams up with famous artists. It also offers unparalleled power and performance for metal guitarists looking for modern guitars that will improve their playing. Domestic sales are scheduled for around June 2025 this year.
Dave Davidson said of his new signature model, “I wanted to create the Pro Series WR7 this time because the fan response was really amazing. Since we released the model at the custom shop, everyone has been talking about it. So I’m so happy to finally be able to release it. The Jackson team has made it an incredible perfect finish. If you see it, you’ll want to play it quickly, right?”
Dave Davidson is known for exploring and merging genres such as metal, fusion, rock and jazz, and for incorporating everything into progressive metal. As a member of Boston-based REVOCATION, formed in 2006, Dave has overturned traditional metal standards and continues to push the boundaries. REVOCATION released its darkest and heaviest album ever, Netherheaven, in 2022, and released its single “Confines Of Infinity” in March this year. The “Pro Series Signature Dave Davidson Warrior™ WR7” represents REVOCATION’s death metal style, providing fans with deeper, heavier riffs and tones than ever before.
The Pro Series Signature Dave Davidson Warrior™ WR7, a 7-string guitar with the iconic “Warrior” shape, features a 26.5-inch scale grey tone body and a maple-through neck. Designed for harsh touring and heavy metal performances, the neck features graphite reinforced rods and scarf joints, and boasts rigidity that minimizes the impact of environmental changes. The neck back with a silky oil finish allows for smooth and comfortable riffing. The 12-16-inch compound radius maple fingerboard with 24 jumbo frets changes to flatter shape towards high position, providing excellent playability over the entire neck length, from playing chords in low positions to solo play in high positions.
This machine is equipped with a custom “Dimarzio® Ocult Classic™” pickup that reproduces Dave’s distinctive variety of chord textures, creating a wide range of tones, from tight low ends to clear clean tones. The 7-string “Floyd Rose® 1000” double rocking tremolo also offers excellent sustain and sparkling tremolo movement, allowing you to maintain robust tuning even with aggressive arming. In addition, the controls come with a single volume and tone and a three-way toggle switch.
