STU48, based in the Setouchi region, held the “STU48 8th Anniversary Concert THE STU SHOW ~Empathy~” at the Phoenix Hall of Hiroshima International Conference Center.
Today, April 5th, STU48, based in the Setouchi region, will hold its 8th anniversary concert “STU48 8th Anniversary Concert THE STU SHOW ~Empathy~” at the Hiroshima International Conference Center Phoenix Hall in Hiroshima Prefecture.
The band began with live performances of their 6th single, “Above To Meet Me” and their message song “Who is the Flower?”, which is a message song that wishes for peace. On March 20th, the 8th anniversary concert was held at Tokyo Garden Theater, and captain Okada Azumi called out, “I am truly happy to be able to celebrate the 8th anniversary here in the Setouchi area! I won’t follow you until the end today!” Today marks the first unveiling of the new STU48 uniforms for 2025, and Fukuda Akari said, “I think she can express the one and only idol in the Setouchi area with a white marine look!” They continued to perform their latest single, the 11th, “Are you watching the horizon?”, and “Ame no Knock,” which has been decided to be the theme song for the movie “Oniberashi,” which will be released on June 13th.

The first generation of STU48 started with 33 people when they debuted, and now they have now celebrated their 8th anniversary, with four members: Ishida Chiho, Taniguchi Mayana, Hyodo, Aoi, and Fukuda Akari.
At the 8th anniversary concert held at Tokyo Garden Theater the other day, Okada said, “The atmosphere, worldview of STU48’s songs, and the wonderful lyrics are the strengths of STU48, and we can be proud to be unique,” but today there was a video of the first generation members talking about the lyrics of STU48’s songs. Fukuda picked out “The days of youth passing through,” from STU48’s first original song, “Voices of the Setouchi,” and recalled, “What will I be able to leave behind?”, and came to Hiroshima while becoming an idol and knowing nothing, and was really supported by this song.” Ishida Chiho called out, “There are many songs that STU48 really relate to. I hope that fans will listen to it while sympathizing with the lyrics,” and performed a series of songs with STU48-like messages, such as their debut singles “Adamage” and “Breathing Heart.” During the song “Hetaretachiyo,” Fukuda Akari declared, “I’m happy that we’ve sold out this Phoenix Hall. I’ll do my best to become a Carp in the idol world, loved by locals in the ninth year!”
During the encore, Okada called out, “We have an announcement!” and a video was shown, and it was announced that the STU48 4th generation audition would be held. The recruitment period is from April 5th to May 8th, and successful applicants will be unveiled for the first time at “@JAM EXPO 2025” to be held at Yokohama Arena in August.

Okada said, “We also announced the recruitment of the fourth class, but STU48 has been able to connect with each other until today, having met and parted ways over the past eight years. There have been days that make each of us want to stop in the last eight years, but each of us is an idol here in the Setouchi area with our dreams and feelings. We will continue to shine for the ninth year of this Setouchi area, so that we can continue to become our hopes and be someone who can admire the girls who dream like us, so we would be happy if you could watch over us like us!”
