edbl will release its new album, “Archives Mixtape” on Friday, June 6th.
Edbl has been a musician/producer with a unique presence in the South London scene, which has been attracting attention in recent years, and has been actively collaborating with Japanese artists such as iri, Kazuki Isogai, and Ihara Kantaro. It has gained strong support from Japanese listeners, with the BLUE NOTE TOKYO performance sold out last March.
This is the latest in the mixtape series, which started in 2021, and includes collaborations with a variety of artists leading the current scene. A wide range of sounds, including soul, neo soul, R&B and hip hop, have been sublimated into the current London sound. This film is said to be a film that reflects the trends in the scene from the early 2020s in an EDBL way.
Furthermore, edbl’s performance in Japan will be held at Minamiaoyama BLUE NOTE TOKYO in Tokyo on Tuesday, June 17th and Wednesday, June 18th. Also check it out.
