"Higher" collaboration song by Taiwanese reggae band PEAVIS

The collaboration single “Higher” between Taiwanese reggae band PengLai Mt. (Pong Lai Mountain) and Fukuoka-based rapper PEAVIS was released today, Wednesday, April 16th.

Pong Li Xianshan is a lovers rock/reggae band formed by gathering members of reggae lovers from various bands that are thriving in the Taipei indie scene, centered around Ho How, who is active in Taiwan’s underground scene. This song was born from the Fukuoka Music City Council’s co-right project “BEYONDERS,” which connects Fukuoka and the Asian music scene. The message of PEAVIS’s message of connecting peace across borders is mixed with the sound of roots reggae and the swaying chilling voice of Ho How, creating a bright and peaceful song.

The mix is handled by producer Gacha Medz, who lives in Jamaica. It has a more authentic reggae sound. The artwork was created by NONCHELEEE, an illustrator and musician based in Fukuoka and is also active in the Taiwanese art scene.

In addition, with the release of this game, a three-day tour of Taiwan has been decided to be held from Saturday, April 26th to Monday, April 28th. A band event and festival appearances are scheduled for Hosei Senzan and PEAVIS. Also check it out.
