The collaboration EP “boy” between rapper augul and beatmaker Sony Machine, who lives in Peru, was released on Wednesday, April 16th.
Agul met TripRoom, a creative team based in Aichi Prefecture in 2021, and began his career as a rapper. It also attracted attention last year’s first EP, Kidsroom now. In addition, the collaboration single “pure” with TripRoom-affiliated rapper HekA was selected as Spotify’s official playlist, “+81 Connect,” steadily increasing recognition.
This is an EP co-written with Sony Machine, a beatmaker from Peru and resident of South America whom he met through the Internet. Inspired by Skrilex and Tokyo Machines, Sony Machine has developed a unique sound that has passed through a variety of genres, including hyperpop, trap, and future reddim.
The collaboration between a lyrics that captures agul’s own daily life with an ironic, unique sensibility and Sony Machine’s hyper-hard beat is a work that goes beyond nationality and language, and is like a dialogue between the two through the Internet.


The EP contains a total of five songs, including the pre-release single “Vivid.” The artwork is done by visual artist cHinyu. Mixing/mastering was done by HekA.
He is also the curator/video director of the YouTube channel “.airplane mode”, and also works on lyrics and composition.SekaiseifukuyametaThe music video for “Kawaki,” directed by (Yameta), has also been released. Filmed in his hometown of Aichi Prefecture, the work embodies the lyrics that were born from the everyday life of Agul.
