Singer-songwriter Sasagawa Mao released his first album in about two and a half years, “STRANGE POP,” on Wednesday, April 16th. The music video for “I’m yelling and sparkling feat. Hanafu” from the album, featuring Hanafu as a guest, will be released tonight at 8pm.

This week we have released singer-songwriter Sasagawa Mao’s first full album in about two and a half years, “STRANGE POP.” While his previous album (2nd Album) “Welcome to Sunnyside,” released in 2023, was a work centered around band sound, this work “STRANGE POP,” is an extremely experimental, ambitious work that explodes even further alternatives after passing through hyperpop.
The music video for “I’m yelling and sparkling feat. Hanafu” from the new album, featuring Hanafu as guest vocals, has been completed and will be released tonight at 8pm.
The music video was handled by video creator Nu Ventos.

When I was in junior high school, I was on the Nintendo DS’s “Great Ensemble! He began making music with the band Brothers as a playful experience, and then began to fully compose music at DTM.
In addition to his own activities, he has also been involved in providing music and arranges music to numerous artists, and is active in a wide range of artists.
Inspired by a variety of genres including dream pop, psyche, shoegaze, and guitar pop, Sasagawa’s songs create a unique soundscape that combines both delicateness and ferociousness. There is a different-dimensional sound that you’ve never seen before, and the delicate, beautiful, and dangerous world of lyrics captures the hearts of listeners.
