Chelmico’s Rachel launches solo project ohayoumadayarou with ESME MORI

Rachel of chelmico has launched a solo project, ohayoumadayarou with sound producer ESME MORI. Their first single, “MO Osoi,” will be released on Wednesday, April 23rd.

The two have been friends for many years, and ESME MORI has also been deeply involved as a sound producer for chelmico. In 2023, they began co-producing Rachel’s solo project. The memorable first song, “mo osoi,” was almost completed that same day.

The theme of “mo osoi” is “loss and resignation.” It is said that Rachel’s own emotions are seriously incorporated into words and melody. The guitar is handled by Tokyo-based producer/guitarist TiMT. The mix was created by ESME MORI himself.

He has also been confirmed to perform his first live performance as ohayoumadayarou. He is scheduled to appear at “EBISU BATICA 14th Anniversary DAY7 focus” to be held at EBISU BATICA in Tokyo on Wednesday, April 23rd, and is a valuable opportunity to experience the start of a memorable new project at a live performance.

[ESME MORI Comments]

I’m so happy that I’ll be able to release a song that I’ve been warming up for so long since I started this project, and I’m so happy! I remember entering the studio and creating songs in one stroke. I wanted to express Rachel’s important emotion with a fresh guitar sound, and built the sound. The TiMT repainted the guitar that was played in the tying, making it the perfect finish! Be sure to listen to it a lot.

[Rachel Comment]

This song is about wanting what you wanted when you want it. When I was drinking with Mori-kun, I felt like I wanted to make something, so this was the first song I got together and made! It’s a feeling that has always been in me, so I thought I could release it anytime, but it’s been two years since I first made it! But isn’t it a really good song? When I first started making it, I thought I could just deliver it to about five people, but Mori-kun made it a huge sound so I think it will be understood by a lot of people! But no matter how many people I reach, that person is one of five for me. I look forward to working with you from now on
