It has been announced that drummer Matsushita Masanao and dancer BOXER have joined MAKARA, an alternative rock band based in Bangkok, Thailand.
MAKARA is a band that evolved from the solo project of vocal/guitar Q (Makara Dolsuklert). It features a sound that is heavily influenced by the traditional music of northeastern Thailand. The new member this time was decided after Q happened to go to see Matsushita’s performance, and BOXER made a guest appearance at MAKARA’s live performance.
It is said that a Mini Japan tour is scheduled to be held in June to commemorate the release of the first single, the new organization. Furthermore, at the same time, recording the album is currently underway. I look forward to this activity as a hybrid band between Thailand and Japan, which will serve as a bridge between Asia and Japan.
