Music created by tofubeats with "JT Group Sound" and music video released, making-of footage

JT Group’s new music and video project“JT Rhythm Loop”has begun. The first song and music video created by tofubeats have been released.

“JT Rhythm Loop” is a project that records environmental sounds that are created through the various businesses and initiatives of the JT Group and sublimates them into music. The company aims to convey the JT Group’s business and initiatives from a new perspective through music.

This time, tofubeats visited a place in the JT Forest, where forest preservation activities are being carried out by the group, and recorded natural sounds such as the rustling of trees and birds singing. In addition, original sampled songs were completed using “sound” materials recorded at the site of the cultural support activities “Shogi Japan Series” and the sports support activities “JT Men’s and Women’s Volleyball Team.”

The music video was directed by up-and-coming Hishikawa Taiichi, who specializes in synchronizing music and video. The music video also includes a special footage that captures the behind-the-scenes story of the production. It features tofubeats’ actual visit to the forest, the process of making tracks in the studio, and interviews. A making-of movie has been completed that brings all his creative perspectives and feelings about nature.

“JT Rhythm Loop” has begun with the first tofubeats, and then develops a music series based on the theme of “sound” that is linked to the JT Group’s diverse activities. It is scheduled to be released every other week from today. The sound logo will also be featured in this project. The way the various shapes move and become one together expresses the way the JT Group’s diverse sounds create rhythms and eventually sublimates them into one music. The video director is Takeru Shibuya, who has worked on a wide range of animation works. The music is done by artist okkaaa.
