YUNGBLUD has announced that it will release its fourth studio album, “Idols,” on June 20th!
The previous two titles, Weird! and the previous title, Yungblud, have reached number one on the UK charts, and are YUNGBLUD, which boasts over 600 million streams globally. The 12-track album is the most challenging and ambitious work in YUNGBLUD’s history, and was produced in his hometown of northern England. It expresses the background of the production, as it was created in a production environment that is concentrated to the extreme.
Idols focuses on the theme of “hero worship,” and depicts the psychology of modern young people who seek identity and recognition from beings other than themselves. YUNGBLUD talks about the theme of this work, “We seek answers from others before we can look at ourselves. Self-trust, self-renewal, and change. As we grow, we lose our belief in magic and mysteries, and begin to rationally grasp everything. This creates a cage wall that locks us in.”
In addition, it has been decided that the Japanese version will be released. This special edition cross-shaped special pack in Japan allows you to enjoy a different CD design than usual. It has also been announced that “Abyss,” the opening theme for the anime “Kiju No. 8,” which was released last year in 2024, will be added as a bonus track.
