PinkPantheress releases new mixtape “Fancy That”

Pink Pantheress released his second mixtape, “Fancy That,” today, Friday, May 9th.

This work was written, composed and produced by himself, and was produced by aksel arvid, Count Baldor, phil, Oscar Scheller, The Dare and others. This book features nine songs that have been introduced to a kitschy and playful era, rooted in British culture, and have developed a sound that transcends genres and is unique to her vocals.

This mixtape also symbolizes a new chapter in which Pink Pantheress expresses deeper intimacy, and incorporates sampling and inspiration from artists such as Panic! at the Disco, Jessica Simpson, Basement Jaxx, and William Orbit, while combining various masterpieces with the modern era through their unique sense.

He himself said the following about the lead song “Illegal,” which reconstructs Underworld’s “Dark and Long (Dark Train)” and hypnotically explores forbidden desires and perceptions of them:

“Illegal feels like I’m back to my own roots. The rough UK Garage sound brings me back to when I first started music. I’ve always loved that vivid energy late at night, and sampling Underworld was the perfect way to access that spirit and put it into my style.”

Regarding the mixtape, he also said, “This project focuses on feeling the music with the body. I wanted to create a work where dance becomes part of the story. I’m happy to be able to return to the origins of production, and I think this is the beginning of a “fancy era.” It’s a very kitschy, colorful, raw, fun, and completely focused on “movement.” I’m really looking forward to being able to share this work with everyone.”
