Thai rapper/artist MILLI released her new single, “MENACE” on Friday, May 30th.
Last month, MILLI held its first solo show in Japan. This year, it also attracted attention for its collaboration with the world-famous game “VALORANT” and its first performance at a Muay Thai match.
This song is the second single from the new album “HEAVYWEIGHT”. MILLI recently performed this song along with the music video at the festival “Head In The Clouds,” hosted by 88rising, held in LA.
The music video was directed by film director Rose-Puangsroi Aksornsawang. The single’s intense storyline is said to reflect the album title “HEAVYWEIGHT.”
MILLI said: “After the intense ‘ONE PUNCH’, I shifted to a more R&B vibe with ‘MENACE’. The intensity of these two songs is different. The music on this song has a light groove, but the lyrics are very heavy, expressing the pain I chose to walk out of my own hurt relationship. Still, I feel like I’m telling myself, ‘I’m not one-sidedly victim. I’m good enough, boy.’ I’m also very pleased to write this song with a foreign producer at 88rising’s LA camp. And I’m really grateful to Rose Puangsroi, who directed my music video. The footage is so beautiful and cool. I want everyone to watch it. And… I’m really excited right now! Because a new album will be released in less than a month. Please support us! I hope you will like the “HEAVYWEIGHT” album.”
