Calli Stephus released his new single, “ASTRO feat. maco marets & TOSHIKI HAYASHI (%C)” today, Wednesday, June 18th.

Calli Stephus is a singer who belongs to CCS records., a comprehensive collective based in Fukuoka and continues to share various expressions. This song features rapper maco marets, who is from Fukuoka Prefecture and is currently based in Tokyo, and producer/beatmaker TOSHIKI HAYASHI (%C). The soulful tone and flow that is unique to Calli Stephus, and the pop and vivid lyrics lightly jump over negative emotions such as boredom and melancholy, and express a worldview that shines towards the “utopia” that each person portrays. It is a positive and dramatic work that is presented to all living in the present.

The artwork is by NEGI, a photographer based in Fukuoka. The mixing was done by mee mee mee, who is based in Fukuoka and is the back DJ and beat producer for BANNY BUGS, and mastering was done by MAITO OTA, who works with JUBEE, Rave Racers, Yohji Igarashi, and others.
