The debut album “Orenjii” inspired by Japan and Korea is also very popular!
Emotional Oranges, an R&B duo from LA who performed a huge success in GREENROOM FESTIVAL held in May, has announced the official music video for their single “Only A Friend.” Filmed in Tokyo when they visited Japan, the video shows the two enjoying the nightlife at Shibuya’s Scramble Crossing, convenience stores, and clubs. It was also shown in a huge street ad for YouTube Music at Times Square in New York, and is further accelerating the global rapid advance.
Emotional Oranges “Only A Friend”
The video for their new single “Only A Friend” follows the highly acclaimed debut album “Orenjii,” by the Emotional Oranges, since its release in May. The album features 11 songs, kaleidoscope blends R&B, pop and nostalgic 2000s influences. Guests will be Jesse Rayez, Becky G, NCT’s JAEHYUN, Enisiah and Isaiah Falls.
The album title, “Orenjii,” is inspired by the “orange” in Korean and Japanese. It represents their theme of combining culture and sounds that are not normally intersected. Many of the album’s songs are inspired by the lively music scene and the enthusiasts of Seoul and Tokyo, and have had a huge impact on their creative vision.
Emotional Oranges says:
“The last few years of our time in Seoul and Tokyo has had a strong influence on all our tastes and has been a hint for the album’s title and concept. They often accept our music and art faster than other cultures, and we’ve always been watching them. The lyrics of this album are based on narcissism and love for others. We wanted to create a collection of songs that would give us hope in our younger days.”
Currently, Emotional Oranges is in the middle of a world tour, selling out at venues all over Asia. Their performance at GREENROOM FESTIVAL, held in Yokohama in May, was filled with enthusiasm, and they will begin their North American tour in September. Having performed in front of more than 5,000 spectators in Asia and America, they have already built a solid fanbase. There are high expectations for the 2026 roundhouse performance in London (accommodates 3,000 people).
