Kohei Shimizu will release his new single, “DUSK* (feat. Hoshimiya Toto)” today, Wednesday, June 25th. The MV has also been released.
SSW/producer/guitarist Kohei Shimizu has been active in a wide range of activities, including making tracks and arrangements for Mega Shinnosuke, providing songs to voice actor Irino Yuzuru, arranging songs for Vocaloid P. DECO*27, co-written with Suda Masaki, and releasing songs with SSW Mashinomi as vocalist.
This single, which was first released in 2025, is a song that unveils a new worldview by Kohei Shimizu, centering on the club beat and affable guitar sound from 2020 onwards. The vocalist is hosting the popular digital artist Hoshimiya and Toto.
The lyrics are determined and messaged by saying, “In order to live in the precious present, cut off even the future, and decide what you see for yourself, and focus on what you want (eliminate the lights),” and by expressing Hoshimiya and his singing voice with a high degree of transparency and dense singing voice, the song’s impression is deeper.
The artwork will continue to be handled by illustrator Shigematsu/NANTOKA, who also illustrated the illustrations for “Ruina,” released by Kohei Shimizu in 2024, “I’m glad you lost everything,” and “Archangel.*.” The music video was created by Kohei Shimizu himself, and illustrations by Shigematsu/NANTOKA are also used.

The sound continues so long as you take a breath, but strangely, the “suffocation” overlaps with the atmosphere of the song,
It’s painful in my heart, but my voice is quiet and clear.
