Nagoya-based pop duo sucola has released their new single, “Ginger Ale” today, Wednesday, June 25th.
Sucola consisting of SSW, KiBi and producer, yopeco. It was formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, and since its first successful overseas tour in 2023 to tour four Chinese cities, it has expanded its activities overseas, mainly in Asia.
This is the first new song in seven months, and is a song based on the theme of “dialogue with yourself” where you face the sudden fluctuations in your emotions that you may experience in your daily life and worries that you cannot tell anyone about. The motif is a poetic worldview that carefully addresses your inner self, with a quiet time like a diary writing or a living room at night, with a scene from everyday life.
Sucola has sublimated elements from a wide range of genres, including Showa-era pop music, soul, and dance music, and has produced his own unique pop music. By going into a more personal aspect, this work gently sympathizes with your heart like a soaking carbonation.
sucola will also appear in a live event by Spincoaster and BLUE NOTE PLACE, which will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd.

This song depicts a dialogue with myself, focusing on the increasing worries that can’t be told to others, and the fluctuations in emotions that blend into everyday life.

This song is a poetic worldview that intersects everyday life and inner self more than usual.
I write about the morning scenery I spent at my house in Tokyo,
Lyrics such as “Secret Trouble” in the lyrics do not refer to something concrete, regardless of PMS, but rather symbolizes the “unexpressible mischief” within each person, and refers to the emotions that continue to lie in everyday life, changing the shades of light and darkness every day.
I would be happy if the song could be a song that would allow someone to hold hands with their own “confusing” and regain their own contours.

The prototype of the song was created over six months ago, but from then on, it gradually improved and it became the current form.
Perhaps because it was a good thing that I spent a lot of time making it, I am proud that the arrangements and mixes have made them different from previous works.
It’s not a flashy song by any means, but it’s a song that you’ll want to listen to over and over again.
