It has been announced that SSW’s FiJA will release their first album, “Fragile Thing” on Friday, July 18th.
FiJA has received love calls from musicians both in Japan and abroad, and has spread its name among music fans with its soulful singing voice. In recent years, he has been vocal for the large afrobeat band aTak, and has become more and more prominent every year, having been featured in the song “Bad Bye” from Kuroda Takuya’s latest album, EVERYDAY.
FiJA’s first solo album, “Fragile Thing,” was produced under the sound production of Yuki “Lin” Hayashi, a bassist and producer based in LA and Tokyo. This will be released on a label “aTak Records,” led by Kuroda Takuya.
Prior to the release of the album, “Taste feat. Takuya Kuroda” will be released on Friday, June 27th.Advance streaming. Based on the acoustic version of the EP “Room for One More” released in 2020, Yuki “Lin” Hayahi, also the sound producer of the album, added bass, and recorded live with drummers Matsuura Yoshiya and guitarist Goto Yusuke, and evolved into a full band sound. Furthermore, Kuroda Takuya’s horn section and trumpet solo have been added, making this a luxurious song that further accentuates FiJA’s songwriting and singing voice.

My album, which I had always dreamed of, has been completed in the best possible form. First of all, I am truly grateful to Kuroda-san, who was helping me with aTak, for having had this opportunity. “Taste,” which will be released in advance from that album, is my favorite song that I have performed many times at live shows, and is finally being incorporated into a track! With Rin’s sound production and Kuroda’s horn sound, this song has been brought to the realm that I couldn’t achieve on my own…! I hope you will enjoy the sound I wanted to express with this song before the album was released! And it has been decided that he will also be releasing his first solo live performance and CD release!
