WANIMA has announced a surprise digital release of its new song “Joint Point” after the final performance of “Sorry Not Sorry TOUR” held at Pacifico Yokohama today, June 27th.

“Joint Point” started in April and was produced as an opening SE song that plays before the live show of “Sorry Not Sorry TOUR” which reached its final today, and is a song used at each venue each performance.

A music video featuring Kora Kengo, who is from Kumamoto Prefecture and is in the same hometown as WANIMA, has also been released.

Drummers FUJI and Takara made this appearance as they were senior and juniors from the same high school. Kora Kengo gives a passionate performance as a man living with conflict. The sight of him running towards the Asahi sun resonating with the scenes of WANIMA’s performance and the message of the song, making it a heart-warming work.

FUJI contacted Takara a week before filming, and the filming was made on a sudden schedule. Takara said about the filming, “I’m busy so I asked how long it will take,” and he said, “It’ll be over soon,” but the content was calorie-intensive, but it was fun and I was happy.”

WANIMA’s KENTA (Vo/Ba) said about Takara’s appearance in the music video this time, “It has been an unforgettable work, as Takara from Kumamoto will appear in the music video for the songs he has cherished with as a tour SE, and it has become a work that will be an unforgettable one.”

Regarding the song, Kora Kengo also commented, “I think it was a song born from something that you’re living and you have to face, or the feelings you have to face. I thought it was a song that would appeal to people who have experienced discovering something that you don’t want to face or accept when you delve into yourself.”
