Tenors In Chaos, by Nishiguchi Akihiro, Baba Tomoaki, and Rikuyu, will be releasing their second album, “More Chaos”

It has been announced that Tenors In Chaos will release their new album, More Chaos, on Friday, July 18th.

Tenors In Chaos is a super group that brings together three tenor sax players, Nishiguchi Akihiro, Baba Tomoaki and Rikuyu. At the end of 2023, they released their first album, “Chaos” from aTak Records, headed by trumpeter Kuroda Takuya. After that, his live performance at BLUE NOTE TOKYO in 2024 was completed immediately, and he was selected as a support act for “KNOWER JAPAN TOUR 2024”, and has made a lively appearance in the jazz scene, appearing at domestic jazz festivals.

Their second album, More Chaos, contains eight songs (10 songs on CD). Prior to the release of the album, “Blue Train” will be streamed in advance on Wednesday, July 2nd. The song is an arrangement of Baba Tomoaki’s famous songs by his beloved John Coltrane, and the sound of the three saxophones overlaps and gradually becomes more and more passionate with solo play by Sugawa Takashi (Ba.), David Bryant (Pf.), and Odagiri Kazuhiro (Dr.).

A performance will also be held on Friday, August 1st at BLUE NOTE TOKYO in Aoyama, Tokyo to celebrate the release of the album. There are only a few tickets left.
