SEDY NEZZ and dhrma’s first collaboration single, “MANDALA,” will be released on Friday, July 11th.
SEDY NEZZ is a rapper based in Kyoto to Osaka, and is still fresh in our memory as his first album, “RABAARBA,” released this spring. Meanwhile, Dhrma is a beatmaker based in Kakogawa City, Hyogo Prefecture. The two have been close friends for a long time, as they are from the same Kansai region and are from the same age group, but this will be their first release of a co-creation.
“MANDALA” is a song that features a minimalist beat using marimba samples, with a fantastic floating feeling, with suppressed key vocal melody and rap intersecting. While following the hard texture seen in the album “RABAARBA”, this work offers a glimpse of a new expression that gives off a more melodic and spiritual side to it.
The artwork is a collage work by dhrma himself. It presents a unique worldview in both music and visual aspects.
