YUNGBLUD’s latest documentary music film “YUNGBLUD. ARE YOU READY, BOY?” has been decided to be released in theaters on August 20th with limited theaters!
The film “YUNGBLUD. ARE YOU READY, BOY?” is set in the legendary Hansa Studio in Berlin, a sacred place where many masterpieces such as David Bowie’s “Heroes” and U2’s “Achtung Baby,” and YUNGBLUD is recording live for the first time a song from his latest album, “Idols,” (including 12 new live performances), and by closely following him as he faces the music, it brings to light his real feelings. This work is YUNGBLUD’s love letter to Berlin, and is a “real moment” that depicts the process of creation and conflict.
YUNGBLUD said the following about the film:
In this film, I wanted to record the exact moment of “now” that comes with the release of my most ambitious album to date. Berlin is always a city that emits completely unfiltered “truth”. Every time I come to Hansa Studio, I feel like it’s “legendary.”
Hansa has a history even in the silence between performances. The ceiling covers us, and the shadows of legends from the past shine through. In the midst of this, I’m asking myself
“Who am I?”, “What can I leave in this world?”

The film will be directed by Paul Dougdale, who has been nominated for three Grammy Awards, Emmy Awards and BAFTA awards. Here’s a comment from Paul Dougdale:
The “that moment” before the album is completed and it’s released into the world is special for artists. It is only before the world’s evaluations and noises enter the space purely that you can enter. It was truly valuable to be able to eliminate any external influences and build a complete relationship with YUNGBLUD.
