Nulbarich JQ begins solo activities as Jeremy Quartus Chaki Zulu-produced single announced

It has been announced that Nulbarich’s vocalist JQ, who has been suspended from activities in 2024, will launch a solo project as Jeremy Quartus.

On Wednesday, July 23rd, they released their first single, “Back To Paradise (Prod. Chaki Zulu),” which will mark the beginning. This song features Chaki Zulu as producer, and despite facing difficulties and anxiety, this song is said to be filled with a strong will to push one’s own life in his own way. The emotional sound and sad melody are memorable, and it is said to be a milestone that opens new doors in her JQ career.

A music video teaser for this song has also been released. The full version is scheduled to be released at 7pm on the release date. The director was Kimura Taichi, who has been friends since his time at Nulbarich. The film depicts the worldview of Jeremy Quartus in a bold and symbolic way, and while he is filled with the water and tranquility that overflows from the piano, it is memorable as a powerful visual. The sound and video are quiet, yet surely infiltrating deep into the heart, making it a memorable film.

JQ commented, “It’s finally time to start soloing. After having had many experiences up until now, I’ve finally reached the step of expressing myself. I’ve been worried about whether it was too late, or too early, or perhaps it’s actually necessary, but I’m so grateful to be able to take on the important first film with a luxurious lineup of Chaki Zulu, whom I admire and I’ve been using for a long time, and my friend Kimura Taichi, who I’ve been using for so long. I don’t know if it suits everyone’s hearts, but please try it out.” Chaki Zulu, who produced the film, commented, “I’ve been taught a lot about music. I’d love to join you again. Thank you very much.”
