A project by Osamu Fukuzawa x Kazuki Isogai has begun. It has been announced that they will release their double name album “Inner Orchid” on Friday, August 29th.
Osamu Fukuzawa is a keyboard player/composer from Fukuoka and is currently based in Tokyo. He also attracted attention as he served as the opening act at Snarky Puppy’s Japan tour in June this year. Kazuki Isogai is a guitarist with many followers both in Japan and abroad, actively supporting New Jeans’ performances, collaborating with Yoshioka Nao, and releasing songs for SANABAGUN. and other his own projects.
The album “Inner Orchid” contains songs written in collaboration with Japanese and Dutch vocalists. With the universal language of music being spoken, collaborators are working together to explore themes such as delicacy, self-reflection, and quiet strength, aiming to form a bridge between these two worlds. “Inner” is reminiscent of loneliness and inner self, while “Orchid” represents elegance and grace under pressure. This expresses a poetic respect for the refined texture of music and the Netherlands in Japanese, the place where this creative journey began.
The first single from the album is also known as a member of SSW and artist collective Soulflex.ZIN“Unhold,” featuring the film, will be released on Friday, August 1st. The song, which blends elements of neo-soul, R&B and ambient production, is said to be a meditation for distance, tension and emotional release.
