Necry Talkie Hits the Road with New AL “TORCH” Released on 2/21 – National Tour Kicks Off!

Necry Talkie is set to launch a national tour titled “Go-Go Talkies! 2024” starting in May, riding the wave of their new album “TORCH,” releasing on February 21, 2024.

The “Go-Go Talkies! 2024” tour marks their first nationwide jaunt since the fall of 2023, kicking off on May 11th at F.A.D YOKOHAMA in Kanagawa and wrapping up on July 23rd at Zepp Diver City. The tour spans 21 shows across the country. Fans eager to snag tickets early should check out Necry Talkie’s official Fanicon, where the fastest ticket applications are accepted starting today until January 18th, 23:59. Additionally, a pre-sale lottery for album buyers has also been announced.

The upcoming album “TORCH,” set for release on February 21st, follows their May 2021 release “FREAK.” It’s the band’s fourth album and a much-anticipated full album, coming nearly three years after their last.

Included in “TORCH” are the album mix version of the single “Fuzaketenai ze” (the opening theme for the TV anime “Kanojo mo Kanojo”), tracks “Lambada Wandaran” and “Abe Kobe” from their August EP “Odore! Lambada,” and “bloom” (the opening theme for the Netflix series “Scott Pilgrim Takes Off”), released as a digital single in November. In addition to these, the album features 10 new songs, making a total of 14 tracks.

The first edition of the album comes with a special bonus: a Blu-ray featuring the complete “Go-Go Talkies! Autumn 2023” live performance at Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO).

Coinciding with this announcement, new artist photos shot at Shimokitazawa Shelter have also been unveiled. Capturing a candid moment from a launch party, these photos showcase the members’ natural expressions, embodying the quintessential Necry Talkie vibe.

With the full reveal of the album and the national tour announcement, Necry Talkie continues to expand their presence and win over new listeners. This album release is set to propel them even further into the spotlight.

Artist Profile: Necry Talkie

Necry Talkie was formed in 2017, with Asahi (guitar) at the helm, joined by Mossa (vocals), Fujita (bass), and Kazuma Takei (drums). In March 2019, Ikuka Nakamura (keyboard) officially joined, completing the current five-member lineup.

Their music is a playful blend of Japanese and Western styles, even incorporating elements of video game music. Necry Talkie’s melodies are poppy and fun, with lyrics that can be comical, negative, slightly venomous, yet tinged with a sense of melancholy. Their addictive tunes are sung in a unique, catchy voice that retains a hint of innocence, creating a sound only Necry Talkie can produce. Despite being formed just two years ago, they’ve already caused venue capacity restrictions at various festivals and sold out tickets for their national tours. They are rapidly rising as the next breakout band!
