88rising music collective 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE releases new song “Raw I Know I Got It” featuring DJ Diesel, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal

Music collective 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE, who always go above and beyond expectations, releases their new single “Raw I Know I Got It” featuring NBA legend and rapper Shaquille O’Neal, aka DJ DIESEL. The track, released via 88rising/RCA Records, also features Los Angeles-based DJ/producer NITTI.

The new song, “Raw I Know I Got It,” is a minute-and-a-half victory rally featuring Hall of Fame basketball player Shaquille O’Neal. It opens with an announcement of when he was selected first overall in the 1992 NBA Draft. With a beat as massive as the former Lakers center’s physique, Shaq (nicknamed O’Neal) delivers rapid-fire rhymes about breaking backboards, hitting quadruple-platinum NBA records, and earning worldwide respect. Long respected in the industry, Shaquille O’Neal has dominated the hip-hop world with hits like “What’s Up Doc? (Can We Rock)” and “Bodies Freestyle,” and released electronic music under the alias DIESEL, including “Bang Your Head,” “Gorilla Warfare,” and “Heat.” Now he’s bringing his musical talents to 1999 WRITE THE FUTURE. “Raw I Know I Got It” names a number of NBA All-Stars, from fellow commentator on “Inside The NBA” Kenny Smith to the late NBA legend Kobe Bryant.
