SKYE, the legendary band formed in the early days of Japanese rock, has announced the release of their second album!

SKYE has announced that he will release his second original album, “Collage,” on July 24th.
SKYE is a special band formed by Shigeru Suzuki (g), Rei Ohara (b), Tatsuo Hayashi (ds), and Masataka Matsutoya (key), who have been leading the Japanese music scene since the dawn of rock. They restarted in 2019 and became a hot topic as a “big new band,” and in 2022 they successfully completed their first solo tour.
The long-awaited second album will include 14 songs produced by SKYE based on the music of the 70s. The title “Collage” refers to the creative technique of combining various materials with different characteristics and logic to create a work, and the album will include songs that could only be created by the four members who have been leading the Japanese music scene.
In addition, a new record release tour was also announced at Billboard Live. This tour will feature SKYE and a horn section consisting of Hikari Ichihara (tp), Kaori Kobayashi (sax), and Itsumi Komano (tb) as support musicians, and many new songs will be played.
