Skapara collaborates with imase on new theme song for "ZIP!"

“One Day Flower feat. imase & Narashino High School Wind Orchestra” by Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra has been chosen as the new theme song for Nippon Television’s “ZIP!” starting in July.

The lyrics were written by Yanaka Atsushi (Baritone sax) and the music was composed by Kawakami Tsuyoshi (Ba). The guest vocalist is imase, a new generation artist who started his music career at the age of 20, made his major debut just one year later, and has now had his songs played over 10 billion times on social media worldwide. He is attracting attention not only in Japan but all over the world.

In addition, the concert will be performed by a collaborative band from Narashino High School, one of the most talented bands in the country, having won numerous gold awards in various competitions.

In the lead up to the theme song being released on July 1st, ZIP! will be broadcasting rare behind-the-scenes footage of the production, including close-up footage of the recording.

The audio will be released digitally on July 1st.

Within seconds of meeting Imase for the first time, he said to me, “I want to collaborate with Skapara,” making this the quickest collaboration in Skapara’s history to come to fruition.
When Imase said, “I love hibiscus,” I thought of the fleeting yet vivid brightness of “one-day flowers” like hibiscus and morning glories, which bloom for only one day before wilting, and wrote the lyrics comparing them to people who are active from early in the morning.
I believe that next to a smiling person there is someone else blooming who is making that person smile.
Members of the Narashino High School brass band also added flowers.
When I think that people will be able to listen to me every morning on “ZIP!” from now on, I can’t help but smile with joy.
