We will be holding a free mini seminar for teachers at kindergartens, nursery schools, and daycare centers in Gunma Prefecture that will help them with dance to original songs by Gunma-chan, the director of Gunma Prefecture’s PR department, and performances at sports days and other events!

The Columbia Kids Dance Seminar, sponsored by Nippon Columbia Co., Ltd., is aimed at kindergarten and nursery school teachers across the country and offers seminars to help make the two major events at kindergartens and nursery schools, sports days and presentation days, more fun and exciting.

As various educational events that had been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic are beginning to return to normal, the “Columbia Kids Presents: Let’s Dance with Gunma-chan! Gunma Prefecture Special Mini Seminar” was held on Friday, April 26, 2024, at the Gunma Prefectural Government Office, 1st floor, Prefectural Citizens’ Hall North, to support teachers at kindergartens, nursery schools, daycare centers, and elementary schools in Gunma Prefecture.

The guest lecturers are Deguchi Takashi, who works as a childcare artist, and Gunma-chan, the publicity director of Gunma Prefecture.

A total of 11 performances were given to the 50 nursery teachers who participated in the morning and afternoon sessions, including Gunma-chan’s original songs “∞Tighten the Ribbon∞,” “Guu! Guu! Gunma-chan,” and “Everyone’s Gunma Chance!”, as well as Deguchi Takashi’s original songs “Dinosaur Rock” and “Panda Siblings.”

Comments from participating childcare workers

Many people commented that “There are a lot of choreography moves that children will enjoy, and we would like to use them at our athletic meets and performances in the future.”

The lecturer, Takashi Deguchi, said,

“I was really impressed by how much fun the childcare workers were having dancing. I used to work in childcare, so I was happy to be able to help the childcare workers who are still working there. It was an opportunity that made me realize once again that I want to continue creating more content that will make childcare workers and children happy,” she commented.
