“BeRec” project launches to promote beatbox scene content

Space Shower Network is launching a project called “BeRec” (pronounced: B-Rec), which will disseminate content from the beatboxing scene.

The concept of “BeRec” is to “bring beatboxing to the mainstream of the music scene,” and it will distribute original beatboxing content on YouTube and hold real-life events.

Starting today, live studio footage showing the artists from various angles will be released. The performers include Jairo, a beatbox duo that won second place in the world at the world competition “Grand Beatbox Battle 2023” held last year, Yokonori Records, a next-generation human beatbox crew that expresses alternative and electronic music based on the sounds coming out of the mouth, Otonori, a human beatbox crew consisting of three people living in Okinawa Prefecture, and Ambience, a human beatbox crew that combines unique fills, catchy beats, delicate singing voices, and outstanding musical sense. A new song created for this studio live will also be performed. As the first commemorative video, a studio live video of Jairo performing a new song has been released.

In addition, the four groups will perform at the live event “BeRec LIVE Vol.0” at Shinjuku HEIST in Tokyo on Saturday, June 29th. Tickets are on sale to the general public from today.
