Nenashi releases music video for “Say My Name” featuring Daichi Yamamoto from their first album

The music video for “Say My Name feat. Daichi Yamamoto” from Nenashi’s first album, “Found in Tokyo,” released in April, has been released.

The director is Sachiko Yamada (origami PRODUCTIONS), who has worked on all of Nenashi’s video works. In the album, Nenashi has collaborated with French rapper 20syl (Hocus Pocus), Israeli singer-songwriter J.LAMOTTA Suzume, Thai funk band FORD TRIO, American rapper Mike Larry Draw, and others on the theme of “traveling around the world,” which is his origin, but his roots are in Tokyo. This is a simple yet passionate video of Nenashi walking around the city of Tokyo, which he holds a special attachment to.

In May, Nenashi held an album release party with a stellar line-up of guests at COTTON CLUB in Marunouchi, Tokyo, and is also scheduled to appear at FUJI ROCK FESTIVAL’24 in July this summer.

[Nenashi comment]

I started writing this song with the idea in mind: “Call me anytime if you’re in trouble and let’s do something together.”
Unusually for a Nenashi song, I started writing in Japanese.

What has been lost
There’s no more counting
It’s better to face tomorrow
You would think so.
This vast world
You’re not alone don’t worry
It’s not easy
But I mean, it’s moving forward.
Livin’ a lie, but you’re alive
That’s all right
That alone is a total profit

I photographed places in Tokyo that I personally have a special attachment to.
The changing scenery.
Another day begins.
If just thinking about someone can make you feel a little more positive…
Say My Name.
