NewJeans' "How Sweet" achieves fourth consecutive million-seller! Also ranked on the US Billboard charts

■Three songs ranked in the overall song chart of Billboard Japan’s “2024 First Half Chart,” the most by a foreign artist!

NewNeans’ single “How Sweet,” released in Korea on May 24th, recorded sales of a total of 1,085,355 copies (standard and Weverse versions combined) on the Circle Chart’s May album chart.

With this, all four of NewJeans’ releases since their debut in July 2022 have been million-sellers. Their first EP “New Jeans” and “OMG” have sold over 1.59 million and 1.66 million copies, respectively, and their second EP “Get Up” has sold over 2.14 million copies, making them NewJeans’ first double-million seller.

NewJeans’ status as a “music powerhouse” remains unchanged. The title track “How Sweet,” along with “Bubble Gum,” remains at the top of major Korean music sites such as Melon, Genie, and Bugs.

“How Sweet” has been on the chart for two consecutive weeks, ranking 119th in Spotify’s latest “Weekly Top Songs Global” (collection period: May 31st to June 6th). In the latest American Billboard chart (dated June 8th), it is ranked 7th in “Global (excluding the US)”, 12th in “Bubbling Under Hot 100” and 15th in “Global 200”.

In addition, on Billboard Japan’s “2024 First Half Chart” (collection period: November 27, 2023 to May 26, 2024), NewJeans has three songs (“Ditto,” “OMG,” and “ETA”) charted on the overall song chart “Hot 100,” the most among foreign artists. Despite being released before the collection period, they made it onto the chart for the first half of the year. This gives us a glimpse of the potential of NewJeans’ music, which continues to be loved even after time has passed.
