Shocking character introduction video featuring Soya Igari (HiHi Jets) and others from Nao’s movie “Sensei no Shiroi Uso” has been released

■ A 15-second character introduction video with heart-wrenching lines

A 15-second character introduction video has been released for the movie “Sensei no Shiroi Uso” (released nationwide on July 5th), starring Nao and featuring Soya Igari (HiHi Jets).

“Teacher’s White Lie” is a human drama that depicts the ugliness and beauty that lie at the core of humanity by depicting the “conflicting feelings about one’s own sexuality” of a woman and her struggle with the “gender disparity” that exists between men and women. The original manga of the same name by Akane Torikai spread by word of mouth about its shocking content as soon as it began serialization, and has sold over 1 million copies (all 8 volumes / including digital versions).

This forbidden live-action film is a painfully realistic portrayal of the twisted emotions that make everyone want to look away. Nao plays the protagonist, Misuzu Hara, who is tossed about and torn by the gender differences between men and women. Her co-stars include Soya Igari, Ayaka Miyoshi, and Shunsuke Kazama, and the story depicts a crazy love-hate quadrangle between the twisted characters and a story that will dig deep into the hearts of viewers.

The newly released character introduction video gives a glimpse into each character’s true feelings, and is packed with heart-wrenching lines.

Nao plays the protagonist Misuzu, a high school teacher who lives a modest and ordinary life, but in reality she was forced into a physical relationship by her best friend Minako’s fiance Hayashi, and they continue the relationship afterwards. “I am my enemy,” “Women cannot live properly in such a righteous world,” are the cries of Misuzu’s heart as she is tossed about by the gender differences between men and women and writhes in agony over her own conflicting emotions. And who is the person to whom she reveals her painful true feelings?

Igari Soya plays Nizuma, a student in Misuzu’s class, who sympathizes with Misuzu’s pain due to her sexual trauma and eventually falls in love with her, as director Miki describes the film as “a love story between a teacher and Nizuma.” Nizuma, who is not good with people and stands out in class, is shown expressing his honest feelings for Misuzu, saying, “I like you, teacher,” and “Did you want to see me, too, teacher?”, despite their forbidden relationship as teacher and student.

Minako, played by Miyoshi Ayaka, has a father who is the director of a real estate company, and is engaged to her sweetheart from her school days. She has the glamorous side of a woman that everyone envies. “We’re getting married,” she announces to Misuzu about her engagement to Hayashi with a big smile, exuding an air of total happiness. But then she suddenly changes from that happy appearance and says, “Did you think I was a foolish, miserable woman pretending to be happy?” When Minako stops trying to put up a good front, something changes in their twisted relationship.

Hayashi, played by Kazama Shunsuke, is an elite businessman at a real estate company who is friendly and sociable, but behind the scenes he has a sadistic and bizarre personality that looks down on women and is violent towards them. His insane inner self is immediately revealed from the opening scene where he asks “What is this?”, fully provoking the viewer. From there, scenes are shown one after another of him lovingly caressing the cheek of his fiancee Minako, while embracing Misuzu from behind. The images convey the abnormality of Hayashi, who has a relationship with her despite knowing that they are best friends. Then, his line, “I’m only aroused by a woman who’s scared,” adds even more insanity and impact.
