The theme song for "VOCALOCK MANIA ver.3" to be held in Osaka and Tokyo in August, "Curiosity feat. szri, Danjo Sora" is now available digitally!

VOCALOCK MANIA, an event featuring Vocaloid producers that ended with great success in January this year, has been scheduled to be held as a DJ event at club JOULE in Osaka and as a live event at Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO) in Tokyo in August 2024.

The event will be held for the first time at Otemachi Mitsui Hall in January 2023 and will feature three corners: a sales session, a Vocaloid DJ performance, and commentary on the artist’s own songs.

Ver. 2, held at TFT Hall in January 2024, featured live performances by Hitorie and MikitoP, a stage where creators such as Hifumi and Hanyu Maigo themselves opened project files and explained their songs, a sales event where people could purchase new goods and old albums from creators that they would not normally be able to meet, some of which had long lines at the booths, a sponsored area where people could try out instruments and DAWs provided by sponsors, and a karaoke booth where you could enter on the spot. Tickets for this Vocaloid P-focused event, which could be enjoyed in a festival-style format for a day, sold out quickly and became a hot topic.

It has been decided that a themed version 3 will be held at two venues, Tokyo and Osaka, in August of this year.

Ahead of the event, the second VOCALOCK MANIA music project theme song for VOCALOCK MANIA ver.3, “Curiosity feat. szri, Danjo Sora,” will be available for streaming today, with the music video to be released at 9 p.m. This project started with ver.2 as a music project released with the combination of “Vocal Rock x Illustrator x 90 seconds.” The first VOCALOCK MANIA music project theme song for ver.2, “Psychedelic Tokyo feat. Nito., Alcetica,” was produced by Vocaloid producer Nito. and illustrator Alcetica.

The song was created by szri, who was recently announced as a new member of PuzzleProject and specializes in composing and arranging music that utilizes a wide variety of genres and sounds, with a focus on catchy melodies and tones. The illustrations and music video were created by illustrator and video artist Danjo Sora, who has worked on illustrations and music videos for many Vocaloid songs and also creates his own. This is a Vocaloid song by szri, who is well-known for his sense of rhythm and unique composition, and the lyrics also express an antithesis to modern Vocaloid culture. Danjo Sora’s cool and pop illustrations and music video, which match the world view of the song created by szri, further enhance the quality of the song. I hope you can feel the sincerity that was put into these 90 seconds.

It will be released on the official VOCALOCK MANIA YouTube channel immediately after VOCALOCK MANIA DJ NIGHT, which is held as a pre-event event.
