The idol group =LOVE, produced by Rino Sashihara, is going from strength to strength, having successfully completed their first-ever arena tour, “=LOVE Arena Tour 2024 “Tell me what’s more than “LOVE”” (8 performances at 4 venues in total) in April of this year, and also announced the holding of the =LOVE 7th Anniversary Concert, “=LOVE 7th ANNIVERSARY PREMIUM CONCERT” (September 7th (Sat) and September 8th (Sun) at K-Arena Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture).
Today, the music video for “Zettai Idol Niyumeide,” the title track of the long-awaited 17th single to be released on Wednesday, July 31st, was released.
The new song, “Never Quit Being an Idol,” features member Maika Sasaki at the center and is the ultimate love song, singing about the strong love of fans who wish happiness for their idols but also want them to remain idols forever.
The music video was directed by Ryohei Shingu, a multiple-time winner of the MTV VMAJ music awards, which recognizes outstanding music videos of the year, and was created with the theme of “preserving cuteness.” It is made up of image and dance scenes, and each situation uses motifs such as flowers and the moon to create a fantastical world view that makes the members of =LOVE feel as if they are “eternal beings,” making it a very worthwhile work. In addition to the release of the music video today, the cover photo and artist photo of the single “Zettai Idol Yumenai de” were also released. An idol group produced by Rino Sashihara. They made their major debut on September 6, 2017 with their first single “=LOVE” from Sony Music.
