Yorushika writes new theme song for drama “GO HOME~Metropolitan Police Department Unidentified Persons Counseling Room~” starring Fuka Koshiba

■ “I thought it was such a gentle song, full of love” (Fuka Koshiba), “I’m really looking forward to seeing how it will affect the story of the drama when combined with the song” (Yorushika suis)

Yorushika’s new song has been chosen as the theme song for the NTV drama “GO HOME~Metropolitan Police Department Unidentified Persons Counseling Room~” starring Fuka Koshiba, which will begin on July 13th. The title and sound of the theme song written specifically for the drama will be unveiled for the first time during the drama’s first broadcast.

“GO HOME: Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department Unidentified Persons Consultation Room” is set in the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department’s Unidentified Persons Consultation Room, whose job it is to identify “nameless bodies” and return them to their families. The story is a mystery and human entertainment story in which the eccentric protagonist Mita Sakura (Koshiba Fuka) volunteers to be assigned to the consultation room, and together with Tsukimoto Makoto (Oshima Yuko), who is 10 years older than her and has completely opposite personalities and hobbies, they rush around relying on the few clues left behind in the bodies.

Regarding the theme song, suis (Yorushika) commented, “Behind the most honest words, there can be completely opposite feelings contained at the same time. I love the contradictions that come from human love, and I sang this song to express that duality.”

Furthermore, Koshiba Fuka, who got to hear the song early, commented, “When I heard the song for the first time, I thought it was such a gentle song, full of love. This theme song overlaps with Sakura’s feelings, and I think it is a warm message from those who have passed away, leaving behind their loved ones, to the important people who are alive today.”

Let’s look forward to seeing how Yorushika’s clear singing voice and delicate music will add color to the drama.

■Comment from suis (Yorushika)
Behind the most honest words, there are times when completely opposite feelings are simultaneously contained. I like this kind of contradiction that comes from human love, and I sang this song with that duality in mind.
I’m really looking forward to seeing how it will affect the story of the drama when combined with the original.

■ Comment from Fuka Koshiba
I was so excited and happy when I first heard their name, thinking that Yorushika, who I have often listened to, would write the theme song for the drama I star in! And when I listened to the song for the first time, I thought it was such a gentle song full of love. The character I play, Mita Sakura, is a character who stays close to unidentified bodies, and returns them to their loved ones, thinking that the deceased must still have feelings for them. This theme song overlaps with Sakura’s feelings, and I thought it was a warm message from those who have passed away and left their loved ones behind to the loved ones who are still alive. I think it’s a wonderful theme song that gently envelops the entire drama.
