Sambomaster’s latest song “Jibun wo” will be available for download from 0:00 on July 5. This song was written as the theme song for the Fuji TV Thursday Drama “Geeks: Keisatsu Keisatsu no Weirdos” starring Mayu Matsuoka, which will start on July 4.

This is the first time in 19 years that Sambomaster has been in charge of a song for the Thursday Theatre since they provided the ending theme “The World Calls It Love” for “Train Man” (July 2005). It is a must-listen song this summer, and is sure to become Sambomaster’s new signature song.

At the same time as the distribution began, YouTube also premiered the lyric video for “Jibun wo” made up of live photos from the recently concluded nationwide tour, “Sambomaster One-Man Tour 2024 “Love & Peace! Masterpiece!”.

The song was recorded during a break in tour, and contains a message from the band that it was a song that could only have been created thanks to the support of the audience. It also features handwritten lyrics that Takashi Yamaguchi actually used when recording the song.

In commemoration of this release, a library addition campaign will be held on Apple Music and Spotify. If you pre-order “Jibun wo” to add to your library before the release or add it to your library after the release, you will receive a smartphone wallpaper featuring Yamaguchi Takashi’s words about “Jibun wo” (“Jibun wo”).
