Shinjuku store releases idol project “NO MUSIC, NO IDOL?” poster VOL.301 “Ni-chome no Kai Coming Out” for the first time

Tower Records will be releasing the single “Kirakira Like Story (limited edition and regular edition)” and the album “Best As Yesterday” simultaneously on Wednesday, July 17th as part of the Shinjuku store’s idol project “NO MUSIC, NO IDOL?” VOL.301. The single will feature the debut of gay idol group Ni-chome no Sakigake Coming Out, which is celebrating its 13th year since its formation this year.

Ni-chome no Sakigake Coming Out was formed under the name “Ni-cho Haro” by members led by leader Mikity Honmono, who wanted to be the pioneer of the “gay idol” genre in Shinjuku Ni-chome, with the concept that “gays can become idols” and not want to give up just because they are gay. Despite being male, they have been active in idol events such as TIF and @JAM, and are a popular group that celebrated their 13th year since their formation on May 1st this year.

Nichome no Kai Coming Out Profile

A gay idol who doesn’t want to give up just because he’s gay, and who works under the concept that “gays can become idols too.”

The members are Mikity Honbutsu/Peinyamnyam/Fudemura Eishin/Higabeni.

The group was formed on May 1, 2011 as “Nichome Haro”, and has been active as “Nichome no Sakigake Coming Out” since May 1, 2017.

The group’s name reflects their desire to be the pioneer in coming out (publicly declaring) the “gay idol” genre in Shinjuku Ni-chome.

Despite being a man, he has also appeared at idol events such as TIF and @JAM.

Leader Mikity Honmono is responsible for all of the lyrics and choreography for the group’s original songs, as well as some of the composition. She also works as a choreographer for idols such as Philosophy of Dance, Appare!, Bed In, Iginari Tohoku San, Task have Fun, Maneki Keccha, Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku, and Maison book girl.
