BOYNEXTDOOR appears on music variety show "M:ZINE"! Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s Wakai Hiroto is confirmed as a regular

BOYNEXTDOOR will appear as the featured artist for July on the music variety show “M:ZINE (Engine).”

In addition, it has been decided that Mrs. GREEN APPLE’s Koto Wakai (Gu) will be a regular member of the editorial staff producing the “ZINE” from July. Wakai, who has previously appeared on the show irregularly, will be making the show even more exciting as a new regular.

The four members, including Koto Wakai (Mrs. GREEN APPLE), TV Asahi announcer Mio Hayashi, and Pekopa (Shupei and Taiyu Matsuinji), who are participating for the first time, will delve into the musicality and humanity of BOYNEXTDOOR, who will be making their Japanese debut with their first single “AND,” on July 10th. They debuted in 2023, and their debut album, which was the number one in initial sales for a new K-POP group at the time, is also very popular in Japan. As a group that will lead the next generation, they are expected to have a wide range of activities and great expectations, so we will explore their unknown charms.

■ Outstanding variety skills and physical abilities! A look at the real faces of BOYNEXTDOOR
As soon as they appeared on the show, BOYNEXTDOOR showed off their variety skills with their light-hearted conversation. They have a wide range of skills, including singing and dancing, as well as outstanding physical abilities, and are very active in variety shows in Korea. In the first episode, they will take on the challenge of “Quiz: All the Answers Are Me.” This project delves into the members’ personal details, covering a wide range of information, from basic information about the six members and their private lives to their surprising true selves. Each member will answer the questions read out loud with “Yes, it’s me.”

Fans will be sure to enjoy the series of little-known episodes, such as “Who is so neat that it annoys the other members in the same room?”, “Who is the member who laughs the most?”, “Who rarely answers the phone or replies to messages?”, and “Who couldn’t sleep without the stuffed animal that Sungho bought for him?”. Every time the list is read out, the members scream in embarrassment, and they reveal secrets about each other that only they know.

Next week, “M:ZINE” will be delving into the details of each member’s new song “Earth, Wind & Fire (Japanese Ver.)” by BOYNEXTDOOR. The show will also feature a dance collaboration with editors Wakai and others on “Earth, Wind & Fire,” which has become a regular feature of the show, as well as a dance collaboration with Mrs. GREEN APPLE on “Dance Hall,” a physical game that makes use of their expressiveness, the “Haa Game,” and heart-throbbing act games, among other projects that are full of BOYNEXTDOOR’s charm.

Additionally, CS TV Asahi Channel 1 will broadcast a program titled “M: ZINE Complete Edition – The Charms of K-Pop Artist BOYNEXTDOOR Unveiled SP” from noon to 1:30 p.m. on July 28th, which will run for 90 minutes, twice as long as the terrestrial broadcast, and will include studio talk that couldn’t fit into the terrestrial broadcast, as well as special interviews after recording that can only be seen on the CS broadcast.

BOYNEXTDOOR will also be appearing at “The MusiQuest,” an event exploring the diversity of music, to be held at Pia Arena MM on July 20th and 21st (BOYNEXTDOOR will only be appearing on the 21st). This “super multi-group” will unveil itself, with outstanding visuals, proven performance skills, and variety skills. The members were all very energetic and friendly with each other, so it was a really fun recording. I think I was able to show a lot of different sides of myself, being a DJ, a cameraman, an artist, etc. I don’t often get to do things like DJing, so I had so much fun that my character collapsed (laughs).
