The movie “A Few Minutes of Cheers” has received rave reviews from famous creators such as Ado! The music video for “Midnight,” which plays at the climax of the film, has been released.

■ “It’s a wonderful piece that clearly shows the creators’ “craftsmanship” aspects, but doesn’t romanticize them and focuses squarely on the real world.” (Ado)

The original animated film “A Few Minutes of Cheers” is currently a huge hit. The music video for the song “Miyomi” that plays at the climax of the film has now been released.

One day, a high school boy named Asaya Kanata, who is absorbed in making music videos, is moved by a street performance he witnesses and strongly desires to make a music video for the song. However, the singer is a female teacher named Orishige Yuu, who has given up on her musical career…

The screenplay for this work, which depicts the joys and hardships of making things with the two people’s encounter as its axis, was written by Jukki Hanada, who also wrote Love Live! and A Place Further Than the Universe. Almost all of the video, from direction and production to character design, was created by the three members of the video production team “Hurray!” (Frey), which consists of “Poprika”, “Ohajiki”, and “Magotsuki”.

This is the first theatrical animation released by one of the most talked-about teams today, who have worked on Yorushika’s music video and the ending video for the TV anime “Shikimori’s Not Just a Cutie.” It was produced using the free 3DCG software “Blender” as its main tool, and attention has been drawn to its unique and delicate image creation.

The song that Yu Orishige sings in the movie was produced by VIVI, who is also active as a Vocaloid producer. The song is sung by singer-songwriter Kei Sugawara, who was also selected as a promising next-generation artist by Spotify for “RADAR: Early Noise 2022.” With her androgynous and emotional voice, Yu Orishige sings the feelings that she puts into the song.

Additional theaters are being announced one after another, and the film was ranked second in the first day satisfaction rankings on Filmarks. It has been gaining more attention since its release, mainly through word of mouth.

In this work, the song that plays at the climax of the main story is “Miyomi” by Orishige Yu (vocal artist Sugawara Kei), whose video production was handled by the main character Asaya Kanata.

“Miyomi” was the 100th song that Yuu produced before giving up on music production, and it was a song that moved him so much that he wanted to make a music video for it. This work is both the “culmination” and the “beginning” of the two’s work, so be sure to enjoy it on your device.

■New comments have arrived from five creators, including Ado!
To commemorate the film’s huge success, in addition to the comments from 34 celebrities that were released before the film’s release, comments from five well-known creators have arrived.

This film will resonate with many creators, especially those who work mainly in music and video, as well as those who are currently striving towards their dreams and goals, and even those who have given up on “making things.” Be sure to check out the film.

You are not rewarded just for your efforts.
They don’t respond to you in proportion to how much you face them.
This is not a world where you are pleased with the amount of things you create.
As I continued to do this, I began to feel foolish for doing so.
I want to leave myself there and go somewhere far away.
But still, I like what I like,
No matter how much it rains, I can’t stop thinking about a sunny future and someone.
With new and beautiful illustrations, it clearly shows the creators’ “craftsmanship” while
I think it’s a wonderful work that doesn’t romanticize anything and focuses squarely on the realistic aspects.
Of course, the person I’m facing now,
Those days are now in the past and people are moving on to a different place.
I think this is a film that many people should definitely see.

■ Kanta (Mizutamari Bond/Video Creator)
I’ve been active on the Internet for 10 years, and looking back, I’ve made over 3,000 videos, but this one vividly reminded me of the first two years of my life.
Passion, talent, jealousy. These are themes that constantly crop up in our daily lives. There are those who achieve their dreams without trying, and those whose dreams never come true no matter how hard they try. This wonderful work confronts these realities head-on, and makes us reconsider the complex relationship between effort and dreams.

There were many times when I wanted to give up singing.
Still, I couldn’t give up because I loved music so much.
The energy that overflows from the pure emotion of love is surely powerful.
When two things you like overlap, it’s even stronger!
I was reminded of the bright, youthful days when I was so engrossed in recording songs that I lost track of time.
Thank you for your honest encouragement; I will always keep this in mind when creating!

■ Yoshino (singer)
The story unfolds with a sense of fast-paced excitement that makes you want to run right away, and I felt that it was a miracle that would not have been possible if even one piece had been missing.
In the endlessly solitary world of “creation,” each and every creator is burning their life for it at this very moment.
I was reminded that I, who also live in the creative world, am alive thanks to an accumulation of such miracles.
They say there is no absolute truth in this world, but creativity has the power to change lives. It absolutely does.
It’s been a while since I’ve felt excited about life itself through a work like this. I received the burning hot cheer without fail.

The importance of Kanata’s passion for what she loves, and her enthusiasm in supporting Yu-sensei from that perspective are incredibly dazzling, and now that I am also able to pursue my passion for music, Kanata’s feelings have made me realize once again that I too love music.
For those who have something else to be passionate about besides creating things, and for those who are still struggling to know who they are, I’m sure that Yu-sensei’s song will be in the hearts of everyone who watches the movie, and these very few minutes of Kanata’s music video will be a cheer for you!
