Today, Monday, July 8th, Da-iCE released their new digital single “Story.”
“Story” has been chosen as the opening theme song for the TV anime “FAIRY TAIL 100 Year Quest.”
Since its serialization began in 2006, “FAIRY TAIL” has captivated people all over the world in various forms, including not only the original manga but also TV anime, animated movies, stage plays, games, and merchandise. It is a classic battle fantasy that continues to be loved all over the world. Since the final episode of the anime aired in 2019, “FAIRY TAIL 100 Year Quest”, the legitimate sequel to “FAIRY TAIL”, will be made into a TV anime for the first time in five years.
The song was written and composed by member Hayato Wada, and is a fast-paced rock number with the theme of “true bonds.”
The coupling song “Imitation” was written by member Taiki Kudo. It was written as a Da-iCE x Kirin Lemon campaign song, and is a light and danceable song that is a new revival of the “Kirin Lemon Song” by Da-iCE, with familiar phrases sprinkled throughout.
The collaborative music video for “Imitation” was also released today.
The video is based on the theme of “bursting” from Kirin Lemon’s “carbonated” flavor, and is set in a yellow and white world. It features Da-iCE’s refreshing, clear and expansive singing voices, fast-paced and sharp dance scenes, and pop animation that matches the choreography, creating a fashionable video that expresses the world of the song.
