The music video for I Don’t Like Mondays.’s latest single “Lonely Dancers,” released in June, has been released.
I Don’t Like Mondays. is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. This is the second release of 2024 following “New York, New York” released in April, and is a dance pop number that combines the band’s signature sound with a programmed sound. The overall sound is dark and mysterious, with a sense of speed.
The music video features all the band members for the first time in a while, and is set in a minimalist space, with scenes of the band performing in a stoic style. The direction was handled by OFBYFOR, who has been working on many of the band’s creative projects since last year. It embodies their solid worldview.
I Don’t Like Mondays. completed their solo tour “Island Tour” in 13 cities on Honshu in just one month from the end of April. In addition to 8 cities in Japan, they have also decided to hold their first Asian tour from this autumn.
