■ The live broadcast of “Song of Hope” has brought about a dream collaboration that is the first of its kind in music programming history!
Masahiro Nakai and Shinichiro Yasumi (TBS announcer) will be the general hosts of “Ongaku no Hi 2024,” which will be broadcast for eight hours from 2 p.m. on July 13 on TBS. Details of the “Song of Hope” live broadcast and the “Special Dance Project” that will be held at the event have been announced. The vocalists for the “Hope Band” have also been announced.
One of the highlights of “Music Day” is the nationwide broadcast that connects Japan. This time, in keeping with the theme of the program, “Hope! The Power of Music,” the program will deliver “songs of hope” from the land of hope.
In addition to the five locations already announced, Daichi Miura will sing with the JAXA Tanegashima Space Center in the background. After the song ends, the advanced radar satellite “Daichi 4” will be launched. Don’t miss this dream collaboration, the first in the history of music programs.
■Details of the special dance project “We’ve overcome the barriers! Now it’s time for battle!” announced!
Following on from last year, Japan’s most popular dance and vocal groups will come together to deliver a special dance project this year. The theme this year is “We’ve overcome barriers! Now it’s time for a battle!”
In this year’s dance project, INI, Atarashii Gakkou no Leaders, AKB48 Group (AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48, NGT48, STU48), &TEAM, Sakamichi Group (Nogizaka46, Sakurazaka46, Hinatazaka46), THE JET BOY BANGERZ, THE RAMPAGE, Sandaime J SOUL BROTHERS, JO1, GENERATIONS, Snow Man, Da-iCE, DA PUMP, Bullet Train, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, Travis Japan, BMSG TRAINEE, BE:FIRST, FANTASTICS, ME:I (in alphabetical order) will perform a number of hit songs that have given hope to Japan with their own choreography and engage in a dance battle.
Finally, all 18 groups, totaling more than 100 people, will perform a synchronized dance in unison.
In addition to the dance battle between the groups, there will also be dance shows with various themes. Details are as follows:
・1on1 dance battle
Eight top dancers from each group will compete in a freestyle dance battle.
・s**t kingz selected dance show
S**t Kingz, who is in charge of producing the dance project, created a highly difficult dance for this day. The best dancers from each group were selected to perform a super high-level dance show.
・Dance showtime by the rising stars of the dance world
Two next-generation dance groups who will lead the future of the dance world have also been confirmed to participate. The two groups, THE JET BOY BANGERZ from LDH and BMSG TRAINEE from BMSG, will perform a dance show with choreography by s**t kingz, which is a must-see!
■A special band will be formed for one night only! The gorgeous vocal line-up for the “hope band” has been decided
In keeping with the theme of “Music Day,” a one-night only special band called “Hope Band” was formed.
The vocalists who will cover and sing a number of classic Japanese songs that have continued to give hope to listeners have also been announced.
The vocalists will be Aina the End, ISSA (DA PUMP), Ohno Yudai (Da-iCE), Hanamura Sota (Da-iCE), Jesse (SixTONES), Hattori (Macaroni Enpitsu), and Daichi Miura.
In addition, MISIA will sing Nakajima Miyuki’s “Jidai.” The songs sung by the other vocalists will be announced at a later date. Don’t miss this moving stage performance, where a super band formed for one night will sing a number of famous songs.
The bandmaster and arranger of the hope band is music producer Yoshihito Teraoka.
■The voice message project on the official X account will be held again this year
The voice message project on the official “Ongaku no Hi” X account (@TBS_ONGAKUNOHI), which is well received every year, will be held again this year.
If you follow the official “Ongaku Day” account and send a message to the artist by quote reposting it with the hashtag “#Ongaku Day” and the artist’s name, you will receive a voice message from the artist himself, exclusive to “Ongaku Day.”
