Vue du monde releases music video for "Mawari" featuring RITTO from their 3rd album "NEW OLD"

Rapper/beatmaker Vue du monde will release his new album, “NEW OLD,” on Wednesday, July 10th. In conjunction with this, the music video for “Mawaru feat. RITTO” has been released.

Vue du monde is originally from Kanazawa, Ishikawa Prefecture, and is currently based in Tokyo. In addition to his solo projects, he also releases works as part of the unit PACK3 with BLABLA & m-al, and is also on the label PACK3.Nat Monk recordsThey are involved in a wide range of activities, including running the Nat Monk Club and hosting the event “Nat Monk Fes.”

This work, “NEW OLD”, is the third album in about five years since the previous album “ZEN ROADS”. It contains a total of 12 songs with the participation of RITTO, Eminata, DJ Mitsu the Beats (GAGLE), Budamonk, Manju, and others. As the title “NEW OLD” suggests, it creates a nostalgic yet new sound by adding the production process and atmosphere of the current Reiwa era to the sampling boom bap sound production of the 90’s. The work has a wide range of genres, from mellow to conscious rap and club music, with Vue du monde’s unique jazzy sound.

The music video for “Mawaru,” featuring RITTO, is a mix of animation by Tomoki, an animator who is garnering attention both from within Japan and overseas, and live action.

Vue du monde will hold a release party on Friday, August 16th at Time Out Cafe & Dinner in Ebisu, Tokyo. They also have other release shows planned outside of Tokyo. For more information, check their social media.
