Disry & KIKUMARU’s collaborative EP “Chase” was released today, Wednesday July 17th.
Disry has traveled to Shikoku, Okinawa, and Kanto, steadily building his career, while KIKUMARU has traveled around the country from his hometown of Tokyo and gained props. This EP is about the feelings of two people who crossed paths in Tokyo while following different paths, chasing the coldness of the city.
The album contains seven songs, including “Concrete Gray,” which was released in May. All beats were produced by KEM, who also did the additional arrangements for KANDYTOWN’s “LOCAL SERVICE.” All production was done at KICK’S CLUB HOUSE, and recording, mixing and mastering were done by engineer Lil May. Guest appearances include SKRYU, MuKuRo, and KWISEON.
In addition, a music video for the track “Treasure feat. SKRYU” was released to coincide with the release.
“Treasure,” which features rapper SKRYU, who has been working with Disry for many years in his hometown of Ehime, is a song that sings about each of their “important things” over the refreshing sound of KEM. The music video was directed by Ryota Nagashima, who also worked on Lunv Loyal’s “Fear of Heights (Remix) feat. SEEDA & Watson,” and is a refreshing video that makes you want to go for a drive, just like the image of the song.
