GENIC, a seven-member dance and vocal group made up of both men and women, will release new songs two months in a row.
The first song, “LifE!!”, will be released digitally on July 31st, and the second, “Sorry not sorry”, will be released digitally on August 21st.
The lyrics for “LifE!!”, released in July, were written by member Atsuki Masuko.
Masuko is currently one of the young actors to watch this year, appearing as Haku in the London production of the stage play “Spirited Away.” The lyrics of this song are based on the theme, “Be yourself and have your heart dance every day!”, making it the ultimate happy song.
In addition, the latest artwork shot by world-renowned photographer Leslie Kee was also released at the same time.

“Sorry not sorry,” released in August, was written as the opening theme for the MBS/TBS drama “Perfect Revenge Plan by the Perfect Wife,” with lyrics written by band member Nishizawa Teru.
The powerful words “Sorry not sorry” are symbolically depicted in the work, which depicts a woman in a deceived love but still forging her own path, and is imbued with a strong will that life is up to her.
A mysterious countdown began on GENIC’s official social media accounts a few days ago, and as the playful posts gradually revealed the full picture, social media has been filled with excited voices.

I wrote the lyrics with the hope that people will spend as much time laughing as possible in their one and only life.
I think it’s a colorful and healthy song, like 100% orange juice with no additives.

I was inspired by the TV drama “Perfect Wife’s Perfect Revenge Plan,” for which I will be performing the opening theme song, and completed the lyrics.
How you interpret this song, which filters the world of the drama through GENIC’s filter, is entirely up to you; This Life is a Deception of Love.

GENIC will release the LIVE DVD & Blu-ray “GENIC LIVE TOUR 2024 N_G” on August 28th, and will also hold their largest nationwide tour to date, “GENIC LIVE TOUR 2024 -if-,” with 7 performances in 7 cities, starting on September 1st.
