It has been announced that the nine-member dance and vocal group SUPER★DRAGON’s new song “Sweets” will be used as the theme song for the ABC TV drama “Sugar Dog Life,” starring group member Tanaka Kouki.
“Sweets” is a mid-tempo EDM that can be said to be a new frontier. It is a dance tune perfect for summer with sugary and sweet lyrics depicting “too sweet love”. It has already been performed in the LIVE TOUR 2024 “MIXTURE”, which has already ended four performances nationwide with great success, and only one performance left at the Kanagawa Prefectural Hall Large Hall on July 29th. The sweet sound and the members’ cool yet heart-pounding performance have further excited the venues in each area.
A promotional video using footage from “Sugar Dog Life,” which allows viewers to hear a snippet of the charming “Sweets,” was released on July 24th. This is the first time viewers have been able to hear “Sweets” outside of a live performance. The video makes viewers look forward to the broadcast of the drama.
SUPER★DRAGON released the single “New Rise” on March 6, 2024, and made their major debut. They have continued to evolve remarkably, attracting a total of 15,000 people to their release events since February. Keep an eye on them as they soar like a dragon.
