The long-awaited 17th single title track “Zettai Idol Yumenai de” was released on July 31st (Wednesday) and the music video for it reached 1 million views in 24 hours, the fastest in the group’s history (ranked 1st on YouTube’s “Trending Videos” and 4th on Japan’s “Rapidly Rising Music”), and the momentum is unstoppable, with over 6.5 million views now. The song is still a hot topic, having topped the daily song TOP100 on the music distribution service “LINE MUSIC” and recording a daily peak of 10 million views on TikTok. Today, the music video for the single’s B-side track “Nakaori Choux Cream” was released.
The new song “Reconciliation Cream Puffs” features members Takamatsu Hitomi and Noguchi Iori as the double center, and is a cute love song filled with straightforward thoughts, “Even after we’ve fought, I want you to love me for not only sweet treats, but also the honest side of me, completely.” The music video was shot in a stylish space modeled after an American diner, with all the members playing the role of waitresses at a certain restaurant. Along with a command screen reminiscent of a dating simulation game, the video can be enjoyed from the perspective of the restaurant manager, who is being bossed around by the waitresses. An idol group produced by Rino Sashihara. They made their major debut on September 6, 2017 with their first single “=LOVE” from Sony Music. They have released 16 singles so far, all of which have made it into the top 10 of the Oricon weekly single rankings. (Their 6th single “Zuruiyo Zuruine”, 8th single “Seishun Subliminal”, 12th single “Be Selfish”, 14th single “Natsumatope”, and 15th single “Last Note Shika Shiranai” debuted at No. 1.
