The 20th anniversary edition of DIZZY MIZZ LIZZY frontman Tim Christensen’s second solo album “Honeyburst,” released in 2003, will be released on CD for the first time in the world on August 28th!
Tim Christensen has been working as a solo artist since 1998, when DIZZY MIZZ LIZZY broke up, until 2015, when the band officially reunited. He has released four studio albums so far. All of them have been a great success in his native Denmark, and his most memorable album was Honeyburst, which topped the Danish album charts for two consecutive weeks, sold over 130,000 copies, and won three awards at the 2004 Danish Music Awards: Best Album, Best Male Artist, and Best Producer. It was a memorable album that established him as a singer-songwriter who represents Denmark as a solo artist. Tim played most of the instruments himself on the recording, demonstrating his multi-instrumental skills. The album includes pop rock numbers that set him apart from DIZZY MIZZ LIZZY, as well as warm, beautiful melody ballads using acoustic guitar, Fender Rhodes, and Mellotron. In particular, “Right Next To The Right One” from this album was chosen as the theme song for a popular Danish TV drama, and became a big hit song representing Denmark that year, and since then, it has been often played at weddings. This song has also been covered by several artists, including Celine Dion, who included it on her 2007 album “Taking Chances,” with the backing track also produced and provided by Tim.
In Denmark, this edition was released digitally and on vinyl LP only in October last year, and in conjunction with that, the band is holding a “Honeyburst 20th Anniversary Tour,” which will include a Japan tour in September! This will be the first time in 12 years that the band will perform in Japan as a solo band, since the tour for the 2012 album “Tim Christensen And The Damn Crystals.”
