“Hamada Kayosai★Ookami Shounen” will be broadcast on TBS from 7pm on July 26th. This will be the second instalment of the special “Hamada Kayosai” project, “Business Trip! Hamada Kayosai,” in which the veteran and rookie teams compete in a passionate singing battle.
The opponents for the second installment of “Hamada Music Festival” are students from Meiji University Hachioji High School. After the first installment, which featured an assault on SixTONES’ Tokyo Dome live show, the school was asked to name schools that wanted to face off against Hamada’s gang. Over 400 schools applied, and from those, Meiji University Hachioji High School was chosen.
Regarding this result, Jesse commented, “The people who applied weren’t our fans, they were Hamada’s fans! The reason is that they watched the show!”
Then, Masatoshi Hamada, accompanied by Jesse (SixTONES), Juri Tanaka (SixTONES), Ryota Yamazato (Nankai Candies), Haruna Kondo (Harisenbon), Takahisa Masuda (NEWS), Kayo Noro, and Ojasu, made a surprise appearance in the auditorium of Meiji University Hachioji High School, where 1,000 students were waiting. The singing battle with the talented high school students began.
In the “Mic Battle! Intro Battle Royale”, Hamada’s team and the high school student team will have a singing battle on the theme of “Showa, Heisei, and Reiwa Youth Support Songs”. The excitement of 1,000 students reaches its peak with a number of youth support songs that are loved by people of all generations.
In the “Let’s Karaoke Together! Nice Song Selection Battle” where the judges chose songs that fit the theme and judged the song selection sense, NEWS’ Masuda chose Arashi’s “Love so sweet” and sang it with emotion, while the high school singing army competed with Ado’s “Shin-jidai”. Which song selection captured the hearts of the high school students?
Additionally, the one-on-one intro battle between Hamada and the principal is also a must-see, with Tanaka Juri saying, “The intro battle between Hamada and the principal is awesome! It will change your concept of intros (lol).”
