PK Shampoo is a rock band that is attracting the most attention with their overwhelming performances.
Today, the band released their second major EP, Kagayaku Mono Ten Yori Ochi. This long-awaited work, released after a hiatus of about half a year, contains four songs: “Tenshi ni Naru Katte ni,” an explosion of romanticism that weaves together the world lines of reality and imagination; the summer anthem “Natsu ni Omoide Koto no Subete,” a retake of a popular song from the early days of PK Shampoo’s formation, “Tsubasa Mo Kudasai,” and “Hitotsu no Kuga Dekiru Made,” a song that shows the unstoppable madness of Yamato Punks. This gem of a work gives a glimpse into the destructive yet aesthetically sprinting way of life of PK Shampoo.
The music video for “Maybe I’ll Become an Angel,” the lead track from this EP, was released last week and has received a lot of attention for its catchy melody and memorable repeated phrases. The music video was also released at 9 p.m. today.
Directed by Mani Kato, the music video begins in an izakaya, and takes us to another world, with the piercing morning sun after a night of drinking, and the sound of a raging band playing. The setting changes with the worldview of the song, with Yamato Punks being tossed about by the waves of the night sea, stirring the hearts of the viewers with their emotional performance, and the impressive expression of Yamato Punks as they loop back to the beginning, asking “Where should I start?”, just like the lyrics, making this a never-before-seen video for PK Shampoo. Be sure to check it out.
And finally, the nationwide one-man tour “PK shampoo Major 2nd EP “Kagayaku Mono Ten Yori Ochi” Release One Man Tour “A Day to Remember”” will be held from September. The first day will be on Friday, September 13th at Umeda CLUB QUATTRO in Osaka, and five performances will be held at five venues nationwide. Tickets are on sale now.
It will be interesting to see what PK Shampoo’s future activities will be like as it accelerates and deepens its activities.

■PK shampoo profile
L→R: Fukushima Kaito (Guitar), Yamato Punks (Vocal/Guitar), Kazuki (Drums), Nishioka Kentaro (Bass)
From the World Wide Web. We are PK shampoo. POPS at the forefront.
A rock band formed by four members of a music club at Kansai University.
The band’s overwhelming live performance, noisy but somehow nostalgic and beautiful melody, and unique and literary lyrics are beautifully combined.
It captures the hearts of listeners.
